Day 2 of the Big Island Marlin Tournament. slow fishing with just 3 tags for the fleet. We got lucky late in the afternoon and hooked a nice one. Looked every bit of 600 lbs. We had @viciouscyclefishing hammering on the fish in the @seamount_fishing harness and got her on leader pretty quick while she was still extremely green. She was stubborn and angry and Joe Had to dump the leader before a gaff shot was possible, then just before our second attempt we pulled hook 6 feet from the leader . I’ve said it once I’ll say it again, Marlin fishing ain’t fair. On a positive note we have seen a few decent fish and the tournaments still pretty open going into day three with us tied for second and the leading boat only one tag up. Just need some luck to seal the deal tmrw. #benchmark#kona #bluemarlin #biggamefishing @pelagicgear @seamount_fishing #morecushionforthepushin
